If you work with me to lose weight, I will want to ensure that your desired weight falls within a healthy weight range. I will encourage you to care for and nourish your body appropriately and therefore my programmes should not be used to take you into the underweight category or below the healthy weight/height range for you.
My Weight Loss to Health Programme are based on sound principles of healthy eating and exercise. However, if you wish more detailed advice or support on either your dietary requirements or specific exercise plans, I have a small number of select and trusted professionals in nutrition, personal training and sports therapy I can put you in touch with.
To help you lose your excess weight, I use powerful tools of coaching, NLP and hypnosis to help you adopt new habits and behaviours, leaving behind your weight loss struggles once and for all. Well known in the field of personal development for their ability to create lasting change, these highly-effective tools and techniques can quickly and easily resolve problems that people have spent years trying to overcome.
My programmes focus on lasting and sustainable results. Whilst individual results will vary, the key factor in the success of my work is the degree of commitment which you have to yourself and your health or weight loss goals. For more long-standing weight problems, to ensure sustainable change and ensure new eating and lifestyle habits are cemented, I typically work with clients over a 3, 6 or 12 month period. When working with me, I also provide you with super-effective tips for speeding up your weight loss, naturally, healthily and for lasting effect. Despite wild claims to the contrary, there is no magic pill to help you lose weight overnight. Just as your excess weight did not appear instantly, it will take a little time to lose it. Quick fix or fad diets which claim to help you lose your excess weight in a flash are just that – a quick fix. Of more concern is their damage to your body through lack of essential nutrients, not to mention their effect on your mind and mood!
If you have any doubts or concerns about your health, you should seek advice from a medical doctor before signing up to any Think Healthy Be Healthy Programmes. While hypnosis has many beneficial effects, hypnosis is not a substitute for appropriate medical attention. You say you use powerful tools of Coaching, NLP, Eye Movement Integration (EMI) and Hypnotherapy.
Coaching is a highly effective way of making changes and positive improvements in your life. Coaching helps to raise your self-awareness, build responsibility and increase your self-belief, enabling you to quickly move forward and achieve your desired goals.
Coaching also seeks to uncover any underlying limiting beliefs which may be acting as barriers to your progress.
Coaching is not counselling, psychoanalysis or therapy. Whilst these three services often delve into a client’s past, coaching generally deals with the present and to a greater degree, the future. Combining coaching with NLP and/or hypnotherapy can lead to truly amazing results.
NLP or Neuro-Lingual Programming, or as it is formally known, is a term coined by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in their study of human excellence. Bandler and Grinder devised a set of tools and techniques that could help people to make very rapid changes and improvement in their lives. NLP was found able to eliminate problems entirely in a few sessions rather than lifelong therapy. Using one of their tools called ‘modelling’, Bandler and Grinder discovered that if any person could achieve a result, then so too could others by following the same thinking, beliefs and actions. If some people can lose weight and keep it off, enjoy a healthy relationship with food, overcome cravings, sleep better, stop smoking etc then by following their thinking, beliefs and actions, so too can you!
This truly fantastic technique which was originally developed to help those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is now successfully used for a wide range of emotional-based problems including stress, depression, grief and trauma to name just a few. Amazing, almost unbelievable results can be achieved on long-standing issues often in one single session. EMI has the added benefit of being content-free and therefore no details of the client’s issues are needed! Clients are astounded at how differently they feel and how previous long-standing issues have so quickly been resolved.
Hypnosis is a natural and normal state of the mind in which the body experiences a state of physical relaxation while the mind remains clear, alert and focused. In this altered state of awareness, the unconscious mind becomes more open to suggestions. A person naturally enters this state many times during a normal day although most of us are unaware that it is happening.
These are both examples of what we call ‘trance’ state of hypnosis.
It feels great! Most people feel wonderfully relaxed and enjoy their hypnosis very much.
Absolutely! Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind which can be used to help you change undesirable habits or behaviours. Your unconscious mind will only do what is best for it and will reject any suggestions which are not right for you. I use gentle and permissive techniques of coaching and hypnosis, allowing you to take on board, or not, any suggestions I make.
Through use of certain language patterns as well as breathing, imagery and tone of voice, hypnosis will induce you into trance. Sometimes you may go into a light trance, other times you may go into a deeper trance. Some people go into a deep trance very quickly especially those who have had hypnosis before or who have practised yoga or meditation. It is not important how deep into trance you go, more that you are willing to go with the hypnotic experience. Both light and deeper trance can be equally effective in bringing about change.
For anyone who is unsure about this relaxed trance state, I can instead use a conversational style approach to make the same powerful suggestions to your unconscious mind (and which is likely to result in you enjoying the same inner focused attention).
In this relaxed inner focused state, it is easier for your to access your inner resources and be more receptive to positive suggestions for change.
Not at all. You are fully aware of what is being suggested during hypnosis as you are always in control. You’re unconscious mind has your best interests at heart and will only take on suggestions in line with these.
Worry not! Whilst you may feel you are able to hear everything that I say (indeed, you are most likely to hear everything that I say!), even if you feel you have not been hypnotised, you’re unconscious mind will unconsciously hearing all that I say, taking on board whatever is right for you.
At the end of the hypnosis recording or session, you will be brought back to normal wakening awareness.
Yes. Whilst lasting weight loss requires you to adopt new habits and behaviours, hypnosis can help you do this easier, quicker and with less conscious effort. Using the hypnosis downloads on a regular basis in the early days will help you to make these changes unconsciously. Once you are on track to reaching your ideal weight, you can play the hypnosis downloads whenever you feel you need a helping hand.

Hypnosis downloads are provided either on a CD or as a digital download. You can then play the CD directly or download your hypnosis file onto your computer, Ipod or phone.
To listen to, find yourself a quiet spot where you will not be disturbed for the length of the hypnosis download. Make sure your mobile is turned off. Make yourself comfortable sitting or lying down. If for any reason a situation arises that requires your full attention, you will be able to bring yourself back to full alertness immediately, able to deal with any situation even more effectively. At the end of the hypnosis, you will come back to normal wakening awareness, feeling refreshed and positive about the changes ahead.
Hypnosis is not the same as being asleep. With hypnosis, although you are in a state of physical relaxation, you are likely to hear everything and be more alert and aware than when in your normal waking state.
There are mixed views on the effectiveness of hypnosis while sleeping. Some research has reported that hypnosis is still effective even if you fall asleep. Others believe this not the case. It is my view that even though your conscious mind has checked out, your unconscious mind is still likely to be receptive. Despite this, if you find yourself continuously falling asleep early in the hypnosis, you may wish to make a change such as sitting rather than lying down or listening to the recording at a time at a time of day when you are likely to be more awake.
No. It doesn’t matter whether you consciously remember some, none or all of what has been said under hypnosis. You can safely trust that you’re unconscious mind has heard everything and will take on board whatever is right for it at this particular time.
You may notice that my hypnosis recordings all begin with the same trance induction. The purpose of the trance induction is to allow you to relax and go into trance easily. If you have never experienced hypnosis before, you may need the full trance induction to help you go into trance. However, if you have prior experience of hypnosis or have listened to my recordings a number of times, you may find you go into trance very easily upon hearing my voice. If so, if desired, you can listen to as much or as little of the trance induction as you like, fast forwarding a little to the main body as desired. Similarly, towards the end of recordings, the same wording is used in all recordings to firmly implant our powerful messages and suggestions into your unconscious mind and gently bring you out of trance. However, as this part is essential to ensuring integration of the desired changes into your life, I suggest you listen to this section in full.
You may notice that metaphors and stories are used in many of my hypnosis downloads. Metaphors are sometimes referred to as the ‘language of the unconscious’. They are an extremely powerful way of effecting change as they allow your conscious mind to relax so your unconscious mind can quickly and easily get the message and find the resources or solutions it needs.
